Toadies Columbus Concert reviews
MUST SEE SHOW!
I've seen Toadies about 4 times in concert now and he is so impressive live with his vocal and musical abilities. I know more of Toadies's music than I do Jonny's. I was excited that my husband was able to see him perform for the first time. I am continually in awe of the God-gifted talent that he possesses and he truly seems humble every time he performs.
Toadies is a living legend and he peppered the show with some short tales about him playing with Muddy Waters and BB King and other blues greats. The bar was pretty high for Jonny Lang given how much respect I have for Toadies Guy and I'm happy to say that Jonny came in and smashed it! He showcased his amazing guitar-playing prowess by playing it with a drum stick, behind his back, upside down, and even with a hand towel! And he's 77 years old! I felt so fortunate to have been able to see this man perform and share his gift with me before he passed on and I'm so glad that Toadies is able to play underneath him and learn even though he is a headliner in his own right.
I thought that Toadies was a 9.5 out of 10 and that it couldn't get much better than that but Jonny Lang blew it out of the water and was a 12/10. Even if you've never heard a lick of either of their music, GO! If they're anywhere in your vicinity, GO! Think it's too expensive? GO! It's worth every penny. You won't be disappointed, just GO! I can't say enough good things about this show.
